On 13th May 2026, community members of Moldoor-Makuach Payam in Bor South County gathered at the WGFS Center for a historic Cultural Day celebration. The event marked a significant victory over selected harmful cultural norms that have long affected the community, particularly women and girls. Participants raised their voices through songs, skits, and testimonies, publicly rejecting practices such as forced marriage and survivor-blaming while affirming positive traditions that promote dignity and safety. The celebration highlighted the power of community-led change, with active participation from female opinion leaders, youth, elders, and local authorities.
