The community care programme has officially entered its next phase, currently conducting eight targeted dialogue sessions across Makuach and Kolnyang payams in Bor South County, Jonglei State. The core aim of the initiative is to transform negative social norms into positive ones, fostering peaceful coexistence at the community level.
To ensure a holistic shift in mindset, the meetings are engaging a broad spectrum of society in separate, focused groups. Participants include mixed-gender opinion leaders, dedicated male and female opinion groups, youth representatives, education actors, service providers, religious leaders, and police and law enforcers.
By creating safe spaces for these diverse voices, the programme encourages reflection on harmful practices and collective action toward building a more cohesive and harmonious community in Jonglei State.
